1\. Electrical

□ Are the switches and outlets in the same positions as the construction drawings?

□ Do all the switches and outlets work without any issues?

2\. Furniture

□ Does the furniture quantity match the drawings?

□ Are there any scratches on the custom-built furniture?

3\. Flooring

□ Is the flooring level? Are there any sections lifting up?

💡 Lifting flooring is something to check in advance, not a defect. Flooring is a type of construction heavily affected by the original condition of the site. Office buildings in particular often use an 'Access Floor (raised floor)', which makes lifting more likely to occur. Even with a concrete floor, if the existing condition is poor, a 'self-leveling' process is needed.

4\. Electronic Equipment

□ Have you been briefed on how to operate the electronic equipment, such as monitors, beam projectors, and heating and cooling units?

1\. Interior Completion Meeting (w/ the interior firm's site manager)

This is where the office PM walks the completed site together with the site manager to check the quality of the finishing. It's necessary for thoroughly checking the final completion status.

2\. Facilities Completion Meeting (w/ the building's disaster prevention office)

For large buildings, once construction is finished, the inspection of facilities such as electrical, fire safety, and equipment systems is carried out together with the building's disaster prevention office. It's an essential procedure for securing the safety of the entire building's systems. However, the office PM doesn't need to take part directly! Just confirm with the interior company that it has been completed.

Tips for choosing an interior company for a clean office move-in

Between completion and move-in, many vendors and workers pass through the site. During this period, problems like the following can occur.

❌ Scratches on finishing materials With many people coming and going, scratches can appear on finishing materials that are already complete.❌ A lot of waste generated Up until move-in, new waste such as boxes and packaging materials can be generated.

To prevent this in advance, `it's best to find an interior company that handles every process in one place. `If you entrust all processes, including equipment and furniture, to the interior company, managing scratches and disposing of waste after completion becomes far easier.

So how do you find an interior company that 'wraps everything up cleanly all the way to move-in'?

TIP 1. A company that has a standard inspection checklist is a good sign. For example, SPACEBASE handles everything after completion based on its own custom-made standard inspection checklist. This helps you move into your office without a hitch.
